&lt;p&gt;The Datadog Agent is software that runs on your hosts. &lt;br&gt;
It collects events and metrics from hosts and sends them to Datadog, where you can analyze your monitoring and performance data.&lt;br&gt;
It will support different of operating system like linux and windows.&lt;br&gt;
It act as StatD.&lt;br&gt;
Latest version 7 and it is support GO language ,Pervious versions are supported by python.&lt;/p&gt;
