Assignment - Kubernetes Day

K8s is Orchestration tool, which help in deployment and Management of pods.

K8s has master and worker node, master node controls the operation meaning it check for the pod available against actual pod, it keep polling or checking status of the pod. Worker node are where pods reside with container.

In master we have apiserver, etcd, controller,scheduler.
In worker we have kubulet, container, kube-proxy

What is kubernetes?
Kubernetes is the one which provides the framework for automating deployment, scaling, and operations of application containers across clusters of hosts. It manages containerized workloads and services.

How kubernetes works?
Kubernetes works with a cluster of machines, which can be physical or virtual. A cluster consists of two nodes: Master Node (Control Plane) and Worker Nodes(Minions or Nodes). The Master Node manages the cluster, while Worker Nodes run the actual applications inside Pods.

Components of kubernetes?
Master Node(4 Softwares)
-apiserver(front end, based on rest api)
-Cluster Store(DB-etcd)
-Controller Manager(monitoring purpose)
-scheduler(assign work to worker nodes)

Worker Nodes(3 Softwares)
-Kubelet(Register node with cluster)
-Container Engine(pull images/start stop containers)
-Kube proxy(networking)

What is kubernetes?
It is a platform to create and manage containers in a distributed environment

How kubernetes works?
Kubernetes contains control plane and worker nodes, the control plane works with worker node to provision containers and manages it's lifecycle to a desired state by continuously monitoring with the help of control plane and worker node components

Kubernetes is an open-source tool to manage the containers on multiple nodes.

It has components: master and worker. The master manages the nodes and the worker runs the applications.

Master components:

1. API server - it receives all the communication to the master
2. Cluster store - etcd - is the database.
3. Controller Manager - manages multiple controllers
4. Kube scheduler - assigns jobs to workers

Worker components:

1. Kubelet - agent - registers the node with the cluster
2. Container engine - for pulling the images. Usually, docker or rocket
3. Kube proxy - networking manger
